WHAT IS PILATES???
Pilates is a system of exercises that engage
the mind and condition the total body.
It is a balanced blend of strength and flexibility training
that can reduce stress, improve posture, and create long, lean , toned muscles. Pilates works several
muscle groups simultaneously through smooth
continuous motion with the focus on stabilizing
and strengthening the core(abdomen, back & pelvic
girdle) Pilates takes a balanced approach so that no
muscle is overworked and the body works as an
efficient holistic system in work, sport, or daily activity.
Ideally Pilates is learned and practiced in a studio
under careful supervision of a certified instructor
either in small group classes or one-on-one. Here
